Security Expectations Have Changed—Has Your Door Specification?
In 2025, luxury homeowners and high-end property developers can no longer treat door security as an afterthought. Sophisticated break-in methods, smart home integration demands, and insurance requirements have raised the bar significantly. Here are the five non-negotiable security features for any luxury entrance door specification today.
1. Multi-Point Locking System (Minimum 5 Lock Points)
A single deadbolt is a single point of failure. Multi-point locking systems engage simultaneously at the top, bottom, center, and sides of the door frame, distributing force across the entire perimeter. This makes it virtually impossible to force the door open with a crowbar or kick attack.
